For 2013 Season of the Los Angeles Musical Salon, we commissioned composer Marek Zebrowski to do a chamber music transcription of Debussy’s spritely Petite Suite, for piano, violin, viola, cello and double bass.

This commission was a continuation of our long-term project to expand the repertoire for the relatively rare instrumentation of piano quintet with double bass—the same instrumentation as Schubert’s beloved Trout piano quintet. .
