Los Angeles Musical Salon is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation, FEIN 32-0247413, and has received its 501(c)(3) ruling from the Internal Revenue Service and the equivalent charitable nonprofit ruling from the California Franchise Tax Board. Contributions are tax deductible to the full extent provided by law. Because the L.A. Musical Salon is run entirely by volunteers, with no paid staff, 100% of your donations goes directly to support our mission.
Our mission has three goals:
1) supporting rising young artists, by providing performance opportunities on a parity with established artists;
2) supporting free public programs open to all ages at our local library and other organizations, both to enrich our local community and to help nurture a new generation of audiences; and
3) commissioning new works, supporting composers and providing new material for musicians.
And as an overarching goal, we want to make music, particularly classical music, easily accessible rather than intimidating or mysterious. To help accomplish that goal, we always ask our artists to introduce the works they will perform and afterwards participate in a Q&A with the audience.
