2022 Concert Series @ Westwood Library

Due to the coronavirus lockdowns, we had to suspend the 2020 and 2021 Season of our FREE CONCERT SERIES @ WESTWOOD LIBRARY. But we began our series again in 2022 with two Sunday concerts.


Our second and last concert of the 2022 Season featured Westwood Library’s Quartet in Residence, the FIATO QUARTET, with guest pianist MICAH YUI. This was also a special concert to welcome and inaugurate the Library’s piano, which was generously donated by a Westwood neighbor!

For this special concert, our artists brought us a fabulous program with two of the most beloved piano quintets:
Schumann – Piano Quintet,Op. 44
Dvorak – Piano Quintet No. 2, Op. 81

Admission is FREE, with FREE parking at the library. Library garage and doors open at 2 PM. Concert will last approximately 90 minutes, with no intermission.

Per City of Los Angeles policy, masks are recommended by not required.

After the concert, meet the musicians and enjoy a complimentary reception hosted by the new Persian Gulf Bakery & Cafe and the Friends of Westwood Library.

We opened our 2022 Season with the ever-popular LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT BAND ENSEMBLE for a memorable Independence Day concert!

SUNDAY, JUNE 26, 2022!
The opening concert of 2022 featured the virtuoso LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT BAND ENSEMBLE, with a terrific pre-Independence Day concert. We were upstairs in the library on a Sunday afternoon when the library was not open for regular business.

The LAPD BAND ENSEMBLE, under the baton of Maestro Richard Allen, was accompanied by singers for a fabulous program of American popular music and patriotic favorites. Hope you didn’t miss this lively pre-Fourth of July celebration. Fun for your whole family!

Admission is FREE, with FREE parking at the library. Library garage and doors open at 2 PM. Concerts last approximately one hour, with no intermission.
