Art Glass Entry-2014-1-6-ROnce again, in 2016 we were at the chic Bel Air Bar + Grill (on Sepulveda Blvd. near Moraga), in the private Sunset Room upstairs.

Here’s our line-up for 2016, all Saturday nights:

February 27, 2016:
RodellRoselOur season kicked off with a fabulous “Evening of Musical Gold” in a program of opera, Broadway and film favorites performed by tenor and entertainer Rodell Rosel, who we were lucky to catch between engagements at the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Houston Grand Opera! He was accompanied by pianist Mona Lands.

 

 

.April 9, 2016:
KatiaPopov-#3-rZachDellingerViolaViolinst Katia Popov and violist Zach Dellinger from our new Artists in Residence the California String Quartet, were joined by guest cellist Coleman Itzkoff and pianist Anton Smirnoff, in an exciting program that featured the dazzling Piano Quartet no. 2 in E-flat major, Op. 87 by Dvorak, and Paganini’s Cantabile in D major performed by Ms. Popov and Mr. Smirnoff.AntonSmirnoff 

 

 

 

 

May 7, 2016:
DonFosterClarinet-recd2015-9-5The audience was charmed by clarinetist Don Foster of the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra, in concert with violinists Alyssa Park and Shalini Vijayan, and violist Luke Maurer, of the famed Lyris Quartet, who were joined by cellist Ira Glansbeek. The program included the spritely Mozart Clarinet Quintet, the dreamy Rhapsodic Quintet for Clarinet and String Quartet, Op. 31 by Howells—and the world premiere of a clarinet quintet arrangement of Flight of the Bumblebee by Rimsky-Korsakov, commissioned by the Los Angeles Musical Salon from composer Marek Zebrowski!
