Join us on SATURDAY, AUGUST 9, 2025 at 3 PM, for our next concert in this season’s Free Concert Series @ Westwood Library, featuring award-winning violinist JASON ISSOKSON of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, who has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and with a number of chamber groups, orchestras and other venues. Mr. Issokson has recently been appointed as Associate Concertmaster of the San Francisco Symphony, and plans to perform for us on the Stradivarius violin on loan to him from the Symphony. The program, titled Iconic Masterworks for Violin, includes beloved pieces by Bach, Beethoven and Kreisler. Mr. Issokson will be joined by pianist Rodolfo Leone.

Join us on SATURDAY, JULY 19, 2025 at 3 PM, for our next concert in this season’s Free Concert Series @ Westwood Library, featuring soprano Sabrina Gárdez and tenor Xavier Prado, who present Ecos de Amor: Belcanto y Romance Español (Echoes of Love: Spanish Bel Canto and Romance).
Along with favorites from Verdi, Donizetti and Bellini, the program includes Spanish classical opera and Zarzuela. We’re excited to welcome back Mr. Prado, who electrified our audience two years ago, and are thrilled that he will be joined by internationally acclaimed soprano Ms. Gárdez for this performance. We have a triple treat as the finale of the Westwood Library’s 20th Anniversary Celebration: three talented pianists in one family, the Yoder brothers — Lukasz, Kasper and Dominik — all of whom studied at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. They will present The Virtuoso Piano, a fabulous program of Chopin, Liszt, Brahms, Ravel and more, with solo, 4-hand and even a unique 6-hand collaboration written by Dominik especially for the Anniversary Concert!

The talented musicians of the FIATO QUARTET bring us music from the original masters of the string quartet genre. First on the program is The Joke from the father of the string quartet, Franz Joseph Haydn—you won’t want to miss the punch line! Next hear the string quartet’s evolution in the riveting Harp quartet from Haydn’s most famous pupil, Ludwig van Beethoven.
