Cynthia Swanson, Tenor Saxophone, is a professional musician and educator in the Southern California area. She has been a Yamaha Performing Artist since 1990. Ms. Swanson plays woodwinds in pit orchestras around Southern California, and can frequently be seen performing at Disneyland. She has performed with the Los Angeles Ballet Orchestra, the Golden State Pops Orchestra, the Vietnamese American Philharmonic and the Hollywood Symphony. She has also backed up the Crew Cuts, the Chordettes and the Platters. Ms. Swanson was chosen by Columbia Artists to perform in a nationwide commemorative tour celebrating the centennial of the music of Hoagy Carmichael. She received her undergraduate degree in Saxophone Performance from Cal State University Long Beach.
