HEATHER & RYAN
REITHMEIER
Two young rising stars
Heather and Ryan Reithmeier, soprano and baritone, were among the winners of the 2010 Beverly Hills Auditions. The married
couple both are SongFest alumni. They earned their Bachelors degrees from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, and their
Master of Music degrees at California State University, Fullerton (“CSUF”). They have sung numerous opera roles
with local and regional opera companies.
Heather recently was awarded
the title of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (“NATS”) Gwendolyn Roberts Young
Artist of the Year. Last year, she made her debut in Segerstrom Hall as the soprano soloist for the Fauré Requiem with
the Pacific Youth Symphony and Chorus. In 2009 Heather was the Grand Prize Winner in the annual Vocal Concerto Competition
at CSUF, and was the First Place Winner in the Graduate Women Division of the NATS Los Angeles Collegiate Auditions.
Ryan made his debut in
Segerstrom Hall in 2010 as the baritone soloist for the Fauré Requiem. Also that year, he made his Pacific Symphony
debut as well as his Opera a la Carte tour debut in the role of Guiseppe in The Gondoliers.
