HEATHER & RYAN REITHMEIER

Two young rising stars Heather and Ryan Reithmeier, soprano and baritone, were among the winners of the 2010 Beverly Hills Auditions. The married couple both are SongFest alumni. They earned their Bachelors degrees from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, and their Master of Music degrees at California State University, Fullerton (“CSUF”). They have sung numerous opera roles with local and regional opera companies.

Heather recently was awarded the title of the National Association of Teachers  of Singing (“NATS”) Gwendolyn Roberts Young Artist of the Year. Last year, she made her debut in Segerstrom Hall as the soprano soloist for the Fauré Requiem with the Pacific Youth Symphony and Chorus. In 2009 Heather was the Grand Prize Winner in the annual Vocal Concerto Competition at CSUF, and was the First Place Winner in the Graduate Women Division of the NATS Los Angeles Collegiate Auditions.

Ryan made his debut in Segerstrom Hall in 2010 as the baritone soloist for the Fauré Requiem. Also that year, he made his Pacific Symphony debut as well as his Opera a la Carte tour debut in the role of Guiseppe in The Gondoliers.
