In 2014, we inaugurated the chic Bel Air Bar + Grill (on Sepulveda Blvd. near Moraga) as the new venue for our annual dinner-concert series.

L.A. Musical Salon Artist in Residence Steven Vanhauwaert brought us another side of his multidimensional pianism, playing with violinist Rebecca Hang and cellist Brian Schuldt as the FELICI PIANO TRIO. Their program titled “Young and Restless” explored the first piano trios of Debussy and Dvorak, both iconic composers who pioneered unique musical styles.

Guest artists baritone JURE POČKAJ and soprano VANESSA VASQUEZ sparkled with a program that winged from opera favorites to Broadway to Slovenian folk songs, including selections from Carmen, La Boheme, South Pacific, and more. They were accompanied by pianist Mona Lands, Music Director of The Opera Buffs.

Artists in Residence STEVEN VANHAUWAERT and DANNY HOLT, playing together as 4handsLA, headlined our last concert of the season with their usual flair, in a wide-ranging musical potpourri centered on the theme of dance—including La Valse by Ravel, Ancient Airs and Dances by Respighi, Six Romanian Folk Dances by Bartok, and more.
